Open Question: Are "Blue Laws" an example of what Sharia Law might look like if it came to America?

"Examples of blue laws in the United States Arizona In the state of Arizona, alcohol sales are not permitted between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. On Sundays, stores may not start selling alcohol until 10 a.m. However, effective July 29, 2010, alcohol can be sold at 6 a.m. on Sundays. Arkansas The sale of any "intoxicating alcoholic liquor" on Sunday is prohibited by state law.[6] However, restaurants or hotels that have appropriate alcohol licenses and are in jurisdictions that voted to allow Sunday sales are allowed to serve alcohol on Sunday for on-premises consumption.[7] The same rule applies to large attendance facilities.[8] Colorado Alcohol sales are prohibited on Christmas Day in the state of Colorado. The sale of alcohol for on-premise consumption is banned from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. Last call is at 2:30am at the mile high city. Sunday liquor sales were prohibited until 2008. Alcohol was often times transported into the state on Sundays from Nebraska, which is legal. Car sales are prohibited on Sundays. Connecticut Since the founding of the puritanical theological colony of New Haven in 1638, Connecticut had some of the strictest blue laws in the country. Until the 1970s, no stores were allowed to open on Sundays, save Jewish-owned businesses, which had to be closed on Saturdays. To this day, liquor sales and hunting on Sundays are illegal. Originally stores were not allowed to sell liquor after 8 p.m. but recently stores have the option of staying open until 9 p.m. Bars and restaurants are forbidden to sell liquor after 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday nights bars and restaurants can remain open until 2 a.m..." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_law#Examples_of_blue_laws_in_the_United_States (((KM))): Not yet, but what's stopping them?

Resolved Question: HUGE WEDDING DELEMA PLEASE HELP!!!?

Ok, so my Fiancee and I are set to be married in December sometime. We are not wanting to have it at any other time than this December because we have moved it around so much. The problem is we have a very little budget, and everything is super expensive! We only have about 5000 maybe 6000 total to spend on EVERYTHING. We can't do it at anyones house because we don't know anyone with a big enough house. We're probably going to have anywhere from 45-50 people attending. We also have to pay for my fiancees parents to fly out from california beacuse they don't have much money. On top of all that we also have to house half the wedding party because they have no money for hotels when they come out so I will have to buy food for all the extra people staying for the week as well as the electricity and water they will use. We also do not have the option of having it outside because we live in colorado and it snows in December......... I really have no idea what to do. My mom suggested just going to vegas and doing it fun and quick there but then we couln't have my fiancees family come and I really don't think it would be fair to only have my family there. The only thing I can think of is just going to the courthouse and then using the money so he and I can take a really great honeymoon...I dunno if I really want to do that...and my fiancee says he doesn't wanna do either of those things either but I just dunno what else to do...... Advice from people that have gone through this or are going through or just might have an idea at all would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!

Resolved Question: is it better to use a travel agent or book online?

i need to book a trip (flight/hotel) to colorado springs for 7 months from now- unsure of exact dates. will it be cheaper to use an online site like travelocity/expedia etc and still be secure/safe, or would a travel agent be able to get me a better deal? I definately care about expense, but would pay a bit more to have peace of mind about accomodations. any previous experience, advice would be appreciated!
