Resolved Question: Am I right in grounding my son to the motel room during our vacation?

Some of you may have seen my other questions...I grounded my 14-year-old son for the entire summer for failing math. We arrived in the black hills/ badlands area in South Dakota today, and we're staying here for a week. I decided to let my son come, but he's going to be grounded to the motel room the whole time we're here. I didn't trust him at home for a whole week and I was worried that a baby sitter might not be able to keep him under a control, plus I think this is more of a punishment since he had to come all the way here just to sit in a hotel room all week. He's been looking forward to this vacation since we started planning it in February. I'm worried about keeping him under control, though. We're going to be gone all day each day, hiking, sightseeing and the like. He's not allowed to watch TV, so I'll be bringing the remote with us whenever we;re gone. My laptop will be in the room but its password protected so he wont be able to use it. He won't have any books, either, and we'll be taking all the key cards so if he does leave the hotel room he won't be able to get back in. Do you think we'll be able to keep him under control? I think I may ask the concierges to check by the room each hour, to make sure he's behaving and hasn't escaped. Also, when we get back each day, we're going to tell him about all the fun things we did throughout the day. I feel it's necessarty to add to the punishment as much as possible so he'll get the message and learn his lesson. My wife thinks I'm being to harsh and that I should un-ground him for the vacation! I can;t believe she wants to let him off liek this! What do you think? I s this an appropriate punishment??

Resolved Question: My son is grounded for the entire summer for failing math, should he be allowed to come on vacation with us?

Many of you may have seen my other questions...I grounded my 14-year-old son for the entire summer vacation for getting an F in math. He is grounded until school starts up again, which in our district isn't until after labor day. He had to go to summer school and summer school ended last week. He passed with a 95% average, so my wife wanted to un-ground him as a reward. I convinced her not to, because he won't learn a lesson if we let him off early. Good grades should bve expected, not exceptional, and I did tell him he was grounded for the Entire summer, so he won't get the message if we let him off early. He's grounded from everything: No TV, computer, phone, video games ,other electronics, desserts, No going outside or leaving the house, no bedroom door. Anyway, the issue now is that we are going on vacation to the Black Hills/ Badlands area in South Dakota next week. I am wondering if he should be allowed to come? I think not, because he's still grounded and is not allowed to leave the house, but my wife wants to let him come. If he does stay home, however, we'll have to hire a babysitter. I think the best option is to let him come to SD, but forbid him to leave the hotel room while we're there. That way he wouldn't have any fun and he'd stil learn his lesson, plus I think it might be more of a punishment because he had to come all the way to south dakota just to sit in the hotel room all week. What do you think? Should I hire a babysitter and have him stay home? Should I let him come, but ground him to the hotel room the whole time? Or is my wife right that we should let him enjoy the vacation with the rest of the family, at the risk of him not learning a lesson about proper study habits? Caterpillar, I am not going to reward him for getting a good grade. In my house, good grades are expected, not exceptional. Who cares if he did well in summer school, he shouldn't have had to go in the first place and he needs to be punished for failing math in the spring.

Resolved Question: Are there any cheap extended stay or weekly stay hotels or motels in Massachusetts?

I live in South Dakota and I want to return to my home state of Massachusetts in few months or so. I have bad credit and no job set up in advance, but I'll have a good bit of money saved up. I did the same thing when I came out here and I stayed in a motel called Value Place and it only cost me $179 a week. But Mass doesn't have one of those. I figured maybe someone knew of something similar out there,

Resolved Question: Want to understand the meaning of this dream. PRT 1?

I've been having these recuring dreams about the mall. An i havn't even been there in so long an when i do go, in my dreams it's always a different mall im dreaming about.( Like it is setup way different) Ill try be as descriptive as i can but i can hardly rememeber the dream as it is, but here it is... Okay, i had no clue what was going on i didn't no what age i was, but some how i was going to this religion class i used to go too, but i think it was school actaully like college. I don't think we were talking about religion though i just remember sitting there an remember seeing two girls to the right of me in a gym like auditorium place. Two of them were actaully from my religion class. An i guess the class was over somehow an i began walking, walking with my back pack on an the weather out side was cool an it seemed as if it was around 7 or 8 not to dark, but the sun was just starting to rise down. So, i was walking to my place an i received a text on my cellphone that i wasn't even using from the girl that was sitting next to me an she said something i think was ethier a joke or something funny, or just a response. An i replyed back, hey aren't you that girl from my religion class? An i countined on walking, an the werid thing is i live in South Dakota, an i walked all the way to Minneapolis. The thing strange about this is that when i was walking like i walked up this hill and maybe down a street area an i was already there it took like ten mins to get to Minneapolis where i guess my so called place was. So i guess i reached my place which was an apartment a nice one/decent one i walked in an it looked really nice. I threw my stuff on i think a couch or the back pack, then i think walk around did somethings and then layed in bed with my all my stuff on an the day went by really fast an i guess i went to bed. The next day i think i woke up around ten, and got up, grabed my backpack an somehow some cleaning lady got in my place, so i could of been staying in a hotel or an apartment with a cleaning lady. I saw everything was folded an still looked nice compared to yesterday an i was happy that i had such a nice place and was ready to get going on with my day. I walked out the door, an i went to walk back the same road an the sky was still the same color just coludy/ little sun and a bit brighter out it was nice weather, very clam no one around which was werid. An i walked back to school which wasn't really religion it seemed more like a place to talk. An i remember i went entered the place where the school was at an i walked in the gym place an i was standing up this time an the 3 other people were in the room messing around talking and running around this time an talking and i remember the girl that texted me came up to me an started talking to me an i don't rememeber what she said, i think it was mostly a greeting/ get to know me, an then the girl that was next to her said, she was the girl from my religion class. An i just looked at her like as if "Oh, i know." So, after the girl that texted me left i felt good i guess, like a happy feeling an i left an the sky was still the same, an i remember thinking of how great life was an i just met this new person, an i have my own place now, an im going to school now an i guess i was on my own, It rocked... So i guess i ended up walking around in the town i live in an instead of the way i took to Minneapolis i ended up walking right past my house as i was going towards where i lived. An i saw that my neighbor i used to talk too, he finally got his new car he had a really old camaro that was nice, (which he always wanted) he was into American cars alot an he has a Caviler now in real life. As i saw that Camero though i was like wow, he finally got it. I ended up going to my house to stop i guess and my mom was home i think leaving for work. An as soon as i walked in she's like OMG, I CALLED THE SCHOOL AN YOU HAVN'T BEEN GOING WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN! I was like mom i have been going for 3 days now, (i guess i just started?) An i said, trust me mom i have been going, an i calmed her down seeming as if i loved school in that dream. (When in reality i hate/dread school) An then she ended up beliving me, an she was like okay, an she left for work an i left too as she was leaving. She stayed in the house though an i just left. I told her i had to get home before it got dark an i think it was only 11 A.M.. So i wanted to go somewhere i guess, because i felt good an i wanted to waste sometime i guess. So i ended up walking back to Mineapolis, and went to the GREATEST mall there. It only took ten mins again, an i was already inside the mall. I went to this Skatestore/ clothing place which was like a Zumiez/Pacsun store where they had all these clothes i liked/liked to wear an always had new stuff. Sooo i went in an saw all this new stuff they had an i thought it was really cool, an i guess i wasn't buyi

Resolved Question: What Is The Smallest Town In The Rocky Mountains?

In my novel, I want a place in the mountains that is very small. I don't care if it's one street as long as it has a small hotel and a few people living there. Kind of like Deadwood, South Dakota but less casinos. Um, yeah! I'm not stupid! Seriously people, don't be rude and answer the question! I said "In The Rockies" If I wanted it more specific I would have put more detail.
