Open Question: Mt washington climb compared to Mt Katahdin?
I've hike Katahdin going up the saddle and across the knife edge 10 years ago and am in the same shape. How is Mt Washington in comparison to the Katahdin hike? What trails are similar? Are there any good camping sites, hotels, or micro breweries near the mountain? Thanks in advance.

Open Question: What are public domain images?
I came across the website www.shutterstock.com and was thinking about signing up to sell images. the images are from vacations i took (for example, all of the washington d.c monuments, and the hotels and sights of las vegas). The photos are not "amateur-ish" even though they were taken on a simple camera and I am not a professional. They do not look like some 12 year old took a blurry shot of Caesars Palace. The shots look high res and look pretty decent. I was reading the guidelines to upload photos and it said "no public domain images uploaded under any circumstances"....Can you tell me exactly what this means? I fully own the photos as i took them myself and are on my camera, will I have any issues if i post my photos on this site to sell?
thanks...

Open Question: Which airport is closest to the cruises?
We are flying in June 8th, leaving June 22nd. It would be nice to stay close to the port where the cruise is leaving June 10th. Any suggestions on airport/travel to/from and hotel would be greatly appreciated.
Well, thanks to some nice people, I need to add that we are going on an Alaskan Cruise leaving out of Seattle, Washington. We will be traveling from Orlando, FL. The reason I am asking 10 months in advance is that I do not procrastinate but am definitely an early bird. Forewarned is Forearmed.

Resolved Question: What's the best transportation I should take to go from NYC to Toronto?
I'm planning to cover NYC, Toronto, Washington DC, New Jersey (if possible), and Boston in less than 2 weeks. If I'm flying from Vancouver, where do you think I should begin my journey? And what's the best route and transportation possible?
Also, can anybody recommend cheap hotels (like holiday inn) in each place?
Thank you :)

Open Question: What should I bring on my school trip to Washington D.C?
We can bring one small suitcase and a carry-on bag. The small suitcase has to fit in an overhead compartment and the carry-on bag must be able to fit underneath the chair in front of you.
Clothing should be casual at all times. Bring one dressier outfit for any specific activity. What kind of clothing should I bring for a trip in early November, 2010?
The trip is 3 days and 2 nights. We have a curfew of around 11 at night. What things could I bring to keep my friend and I busy and not bored to death?
I am a female and need about 2 hours to get ready in the morning. Could you list some things I need to have in order to get ready in the morning?
I have three younger siblings, 2 boys, and 1 girl, ages 4-9. How much money should I bring for the trip if I know I want to get each of them and myself something memorable?
Also, we are allowed to go swimming in the hotel's pool. Do you think it would be okay if I brought my bikini or would I need a one piece or tankini?
Please list what you think I should bring below using the above guidelines. If I am forgetting anything from above could you please list that as well? Thank you very much.
Kenz

Resolved Question: I need help on my homework..........................?
I ONLY WANT YOU TO ANSWER ONE OF THEM THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Case 1
Alaska enacted a statute known as "Alaska Hire". It required employers in the state to hire qualified Alaskan residents in preference to non-residents. Hicklin, a non-resident, sued Orbeck, the state official chared with enforcing the statute. After the Supreme Court of Alaska found the statute to be unconstitutional, Hicklin appealed to the US Supreme Court, which found the statute to be in conflict with the US Constitution. Which supreme court is the final authority in this case?
Case 2
The city of Chicago sued to stop the operation of the Commonwealth Edison Company's coal-burning, electricity-generating plant in nearby Hammond, IN. Chicago claimed that the plant emitted too much smoke, sulfur dioxide and other harmful substances. The city also claimed that the plant was a common-law public nuisance because it caused an "unreasonable interference with a right common to the general public" to clean air. Edison argued that it had spent too much money to reduce harmful emissions and that the emissions were now well below the levels prescribed by federal clean air regulations and by the city of Hammond. Edison also pointed out that, "unpleasant odors, smoke, and film" already characterized the area in which the plant was located. The trial court refused to issue an injunction. Therefore, the city of Chicago appealed to a higher court, which affirmed (upheld) the trial court. How can this legal action be ethically justified?
Case 3
On March 30, 1981, as then President Ronald Reagan left the Washington Hilton Hotel after giving a speech, he was wounded by one of a series of bullets allegedly fired by John Hinckley. Three other men also were wounded, including James Brady, the President's press secretary, who received a severe wound to the head. President Reagan underwent surgery shortly after at the hospital. Hinckley was arrested at the scene literally with the smoking gun. Soon after the criminal process was begun against him, he underwent two psychiatric examinations by order of the magistrate and then the chief judge involved in the case. Both examinations found him to be competent. On August 28, after being indicted by a federal grand jury, Hinckley's lawyers then began their work. In two very important rulings they were able to suppress the use of evidence that would have been very damning to the defendant. They first had thrown out all answers he had given to questions prior to having his attorney present. This was done even though he had been read his Miranda rights three times before agreeing to answer those questions. Then Hinckley's attorneys were able to suppress allegedly incriminating material in the form of a diary gathered by the jailers when they checked Hinckley's cell for contraband and instruments useful in a potential suicide attempt. These rulings by the court were based on the constitutional rights to counsel and to protection against improper searches and seizures. Do you consider their use in this case a proper application of such rights? Is the exclusion of the evidence the only possible remedy or could you come up with another one? Is so, what is it and why would it be an improvement over the current policy?

Resolved Question: What is the best airport to fly into to see the sights in Washington DC?
My boss is giving me an extended weekend trip and I want to go to Wash DC. The company is paying, but I want to do this on the cheap because he initially wanted me to drive or take a train (trains are more than planes). He said to keep it under $2,000. I know I can get a great vacation under that by flying.
I want to be near the public transportation and near the Capital. I do NOT need a hotel that is fancy. This is where I prefer to go cheap. I plan to take public trans and walk alot. Any suggestions on sight seeing is appreciated too.

Voting Question: How do I reveal a surprise vacation to my boyfriend?
Our one year anniversary is around the corner, and I bought us round trip tickets to Washington DC for Nov 23-27th, because he is OBSESSED with the government, CIA, and politics, etc. And he talks about DC allll the time.
I paid for the flight tickets, but I still need him to pay for the hotel, cause the tickets were so much money already. So I need to reveal the surprise like a month ahead so he can book the hotel, cause they fill up fast at Thanksgiving.
How should I go about this??
